Our Day Program services provide opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses to gain self-esteem, and to become active members of their community.
After an individual meets the criteria for waiver services though their mco, we will provide hands on training in such areas as social skills development, supported living, pre-vocational skills. Respite services, family training and crisis stabilization are also available. These services have the goal of total community inclusion by the client to the greatest level of independence possible.
Pierce and Associates has two supervised living homes. These facilities provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities, to include persons with autism and mental illness. Services are provided with 24-hour staff. The staff are trained habilitation technicians who provide assistance and care in areas of need. These may include daily living activities, community integration, safety issues, and recreational and social needs.
We offer this long-term care service for adults in three group homes in Cumberland County. Each group home serves 6 adults in a homelike facility in a safe and secure residential community. Each residence is licensed by the state of North Carolina and is re-certified annually. We take a team approach to meeting the needs of each resident.
The Interdisciplinary team is led by a qualified professional.
Input from the consumer's guardian/Parent and physician are vital to assuring that all
of the needs are met and that each person receives "active treatment."
